Langtang is the region in the Himalayas of the Nepal to the north of the Kathmandu valley and bordering Tibet. The Langtang national park is located in this area. About 4500 people live inside the park and many more depend on it for timber and firewood. Majority of the residence here are Tamang.

Overview

Langtang gosaikunda trek provides all the best that the Langtang region has to offer.This trek encounters you with the high mountains, glaciers beautiful lakes in a suitable time period and relative comfortable elevation.

This trek begins from Syabrubesi which is only a few hours’ drive from Kathmandu. During our trek we will pass through traditional Tamang village and meet yak herds in many of the yak pasture of the region before Kyanjin Gonpa (3800 m). We will explore around Lang fang valley and visit the glacier before we head for Gosaikunda. On the way we will have a amazing mountain view from Laurebina pass (4160 m) of Annapurna ranges to Langtang ranges and also some views of Tibet. After crossing the Laurebina pass (4610 m) we will be in Langtang region behind us and we travel through Helambu valley.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300m /4,264 ft)

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi 2000 m: 8 hours by bus

Day 03: Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel 2748 m: 5-6 hours

Day 04: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village 3500 m: 5- 6 hours

Day 05: Trek from Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa 3800 m: 4-5 hours

Day 06: Kyanjin Gompa explorer day

Day 07: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Ghodatabela 3148 m: 5-6 hours

Day 08: Trek from Ghodatabela to Sherpa Gau 2400 m: 5-6 hours

Day 09: Trek from Sherpa Gau to Syabrubesi 1400 m: 3-5 hours

Day 10: Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu: 6-7 hours

    During our stay in the Kathmandu/ Pokhara we will be staying in the well furnished Hotels with the very good service but during the trek we will be accomodating in the very basic hotels and sometime the guest have to share the rooms. Single room during trek are only subject to availability  but cannot be guaranteed.

    They take care of everything. You can trust and enjoy your journey. Good choice of lodges and hotels, car drivers who are used to drive with european tourists ;-). I travelled 2 times this year with Kreuz Outdoor - I can highly recommend
